This is a luxurious mountain biking journey through the stunning landscapes of Morocco. The trip starts in Marrakech and takes you to the magnificent Atlas Mountains. From there, we will traverse the captivating Atlas Mountains before returning to Marrakech. Daily cycling distances will range from 20 to 50 kilometres, which can be adjusted based on your preferences to provide you with an unforgettable mountain biking experience. Your guide and driver are committed to supporting you and ensuring that you leave Morocco with lasting memories. The tour includes everything: a high-quality bike, an experienced guide, a comprehensive support van, drinks, snacks, three meals a day featuring delectable Moroccan cuisine, accommodation, and breathtaking Moroccan views.

Itinerary

Day 1OURIGANE VALLEY (B, L, D) Depart from your hotel in Marrakech at 8 AM following breakfast.

Take a morning bike ride to the Atlas, traversing the salt mines of Ouirgane Valley, followed by a 7km ascent to a Berber village where you’ll have lunch with a view of the valley. Then, continue along the high mountain donkey trails before returning to your hotel, where you can enjoy the pool, hammam, and a well-earned Moroccan dinner.

Day 2TOUBKAL National Parc, IMLIL, AND ASNI (B,L,D)

After having breakfast, a 4×4 vehicle will pick you up at 9 am and drive you up the mountain, passing through the well-known hiking village of Imlil and continuing into the valley beneath Mount Toubkal.

It’s a gradual journey featuring a few moderate inclines and stunning scenery.

Enjoy a tea break by a mountain stream and then head to Asni for lunch.

Extensions at Asnior provide return transportation to your hotel for dinner and a restful night. Overnight accommodation: Hotel KsarShama.

 

 

Day 3Plateau de Kik to Lake Takerkoust (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

After breakfast at 9 am, it’s time to hop on the bike! Today, you’ll depart from Ouirgane Valley and tackle a challenging 4km ascent, moving away from the verdant hillside to descend into the arid landscape of Kik village, heading towards the far-off Lalla Takerkoust lake for lunch.

After lunch, we’ll head to the hotel by the lake for a country-style French Moroccan dinner and some relaxation! We’ll be staying overnight at Hotel Jnane Tihihit.

 

 

Day 4MOULAY BRAHIM / BEGINNING OF THE ATLAS (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)

Transportation from the Jnane Tihihit Hotel to the tranquil mountain village where the Sufi Saint Moulay Brahim is laid to rest.

Travel from the village located above the tree line then descend through the Atlas route to reach the lake for lunch, followed by a ride after your meal.

Go for a swim and then savour a farm-fresh dinner by the pool at Janane Thahit.

You’ll have no trouble falling asleep in the rooms adorned with cedar! Overnight accommodation: Hotel Jnane Tihihit.

 

 

Day 5AMIZMIZ (B,L,D)

After having breakfast, you will depart at 9 am for the region near Amizmiz, a place famous for mountain biking.

You will have lunch in Amizmiz before embarking on tailored trails that offer a blend of beautiful views along with some challenging uphill and downhill parts.

Following another pause in Amizmiz, you will return to Lake Touerkoust for dinner before heading back to the hotel for your last night.

Day 6DESERT AGAFAY TO MARRAKECH (B,L)

Pack the bags that will be transported by the vehicle while you ride your bike back to Marrakech.

Savour your breakfast and then ride your bike directly through the Agafay desert, just like Lawrence of Arabia.

As you traverse the undulating dunes, camels and lunch tents provide a delightful conclusion to the journey.

You will then be taken back to your hotel in Marrakech with wonderful memories!
